Hi, this blog will guide you through the restoration / remodeling of various SONOR drums from the late 70s to the late
90s.
The idea behind every project is to start from a
quality - but less valuable - drum built in Germany and modifying it to
my taste.
Apart from that, I'll try - as much as possible - to apply the following rules:
- Use German-made products and supply
- Work with secondhand parts
- Work with ecological products or processes
- Keep budget on the lower side, without giving up on quality
- Source free supply and leftovers, reuse and recycle
